Democratic Services Officer Fully Remote £30 - £35ph umbrella (DOE) Initial 3-6 Month Contract (Potential to Extend) Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Democratic Services Officer to join a highly regarded public sector organisation based in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to support the effective delivery of democratic services within a well-established team.

The role is offered on a fully remote basis for an initial 3-6 month period, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Organise, coordinate, and attend committee and council meetings, ensuring they are convened and serviced in accordance with statutory and constitutional requirements. Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, reports, briefing notes, and other associated documentation. Provide administrative and procedural support to elected members and senior officers. Undertake research and gather information to support decision-making processes. Ensure accurate records are maintained and governance procedures are followed.

About You:

Previous experience working within Democratic Services is highly desirable. Candidates with strong administrative experience, particularly in arranging meetings, agenda preparation, and minute-taking, are also encouraged to apply. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
