University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for full‑time administrative roles (37.5 hours per week) across a range of entry‑level positions.

Our hospitals rely on a dedicated team of administrators. The role is key to supporting patients and clinical teams, ensuring a positive and seamless patient experience.

Secondment opportunities will be considered for internal applicants.

Where you could work: University Hospital Southampton, Princess Anne Hospital or Royal South Hants. Possible roles include:
Outpatient Administrator Centre, Receptionist, Ward Administrator, Booking Administrator, Emergency Care Administrator.

What you’ll do

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and external agencies.
  • Maintain a consistent and effective administrative service at all times.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, internally and externally.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a customer‑services environment.
  • A friendly and approachable manner.
  • Polite, sympathetic, diplomatic and can‑do attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills face‑to‑face, telephone and written.
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Shifts between 7am and 10pm Monday to Sunday; flexibility required.

Part‑time roles require a minimum of 15 hours per week.
