Student Recruitment Events Supervisor

Client - University of Southampton

Rate - £17.12 per hour

Contract - circa 4 months

Start Date - Asap

Tate are recruiting someone to support the planning, coordination and delivery of student recruitment events at the University of Southampton, ensuring a high-quality experience for prospective students and visitors. The role will provide day-to-day supervision of administrative processes, student ambassadors and event support activities, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the planning and delivery of recruitment events including Open Days, Visit Days and other on-campus activities.
Supervise Student Recruitment Events Administrators, student ambassadors and casual event staff.
Allocate workloads, provide guidance and support team members to meet deadlines and service standards.
Liaise with academic departments, professional services teams and external partners to ensure events run smoothly.
Monitor event bookings, resources, budgets and operational arrangements.
Support the recruitment, training and scheduling of student ambassadors.
Gather and analyse feedback to identify improvements and enhance the visitor experience.
Produce reports and maintain accurate records relating to event performance.
Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, applicants and their supporters.
Support wider student recruitment activities as required.

Person Specification

Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or events-based role.
Experience supervising staff, volunteers or student ambassadors.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable

Experience with in Higher Education, recruitment or events.
Experience using CRM or booking systems.
Experience producing reports and analysing feedback/data.
Line management or team leadership experience.
