About the role

We are looking for a Trainee Administrator to join the Commercial Property team in our office in Chandler’s Ford. The role would ideally suit someone with excellent attention to detail. Working alongside our lawyers and paralegals, you should enjoy working as part of a team and have a delivery focused mindset and can-do attitude.

You will spend one day a week studying and one day a month at college studying a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Salary on offer for this role is £15,000.

Roles and responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to lawyers, including filing and archiving and the organisation of documents including:

  • printing and bundling of documents and engrossments, scanning and organising e-files, sending counterparts to relevant parties and/or uploading to relevant client extranets, creating deeds packets & organising the post run.
  • Opening files – running conflict checks, obtaining Anti Money Laundering documents, creating the e-file and all relevant sub-files

Other duties will include:

  • Collating, analysing and reporting of data as required by fee earners/clients
  • Supporting with Conference and meeting arrangements
  • Assisting with internal team communications
  • Assisting Legal Support Assistants to provide support to other/non-assigned fee earners as appropriate
Skills / Experience Required
  • Good spread of GCSEs (4-9) including English and Maths
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Good writing and IT skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude and strong work ethic
  • Capable of managing a varied and demanding workload
  • A diligent approach and willingness to adhere to GDPR and other regulatory requirements in order to achieve compliance
