Assistant Facilities Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to join a leading facilities management company with an impressive portfolio of corporate clients. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a client's main office in Southampton, while also overseeing two nearby satellite sites. The role will cover both hard and soft services, working closely with the Facilities Manager and travelling between the sites as required.

The salary for this position is £35,000 to £38,000, alongside a generous benefits package including a discretionary bonus.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of facilities operations across the sites, including managing contractors and coordinating planned preventative maintenance and reactive works. You will carry out regular audits to ensure compliance and KPIs are consistently achieved, while keeping health and safety records and relevant systems up to date. The role will also involve raising purchase orders, conducting regular site inspections, producing reports and actioning any recommendations identified.

Providing a high level of customer service will be key, alongside ensuring robust emergency response procedures are in place, including appropriate fire safety arrangements.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience working as a Facilities Coordinator or Assistant Facilities Manager within a corporate office environment. You will have proven experience managing contractors, overseeing health and safety and delivering a high level of customer service. An IOSH qualification would be advantageous, although not essential. As the role has a strong focus on client and customer service, you will be a confident communicator with a proactive approach, a genuine passion for facilities management and an engaging personality.
