We are currently on the lookout for a Diagnostic Technician to join our established team at Snows Peugeot, Southampton.

day

As a Diagnostic Technician, you will perform a variety of workshop work in an efficient and safe manner, aiming to meet customer requirements and maximize workshop utilisation and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine servicing of vehicles in accordance with brand technical standards.
  • Undertake air‑conditioning system servicing and repairs.
  • Work in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
  • Ensure that the working environment is kept clean and devoid of any practices that may be hazardous.
  • Diagnose and undertake general repairs to vehicles, including MOT repairs.
  • Perform diagnostic investigations into vehicle electrical system faults, providing reports on faults found.
  • Carry out welding repairs to vehicles.
  • Obtain estimates and order car parts to resolve vehicle issues.
  • Liaise with customers to update them on the status of their vehicle checks.
Qualifications
  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation.
  • Previous work experience in a franchise dealership.
  • Highly skilled in fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering first‑class customer service.
  • Able to plan, organise yourself and meet agreed work deadlines.
