MOT Technician – Southampton

Our client, a reputable automotive service centre group with multiple sites across Southern England, is currently seeking an experienced MOT Technician for their Southampton location. The role offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and long‑term career prospects.

• Up to £35,000 starting annual salary, depending on experience

• Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am‑5:30pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am‑4:00pm

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with Ministry standards
• Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to high standards
• Support workshop operations and assist with customer vehicle enquiries
• Produce high‑quality work within designated time frames
• Assist at the front reception when necessary, offering excellent customer service
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out

• Proven experience as an MOT Technician
• Valid MOT licence and UK driving licence with minimal points
• Ability to produce high‑quality work within deadlines
• Friendly, approachable manner and excellent team spirit
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Southampton or Salisbury
• Demonstrable experience gained through employment or apprenticeship
• Basic workshop skills and technical knowledge relevant to vehicle servicing and repairs
