PDI Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled PDI Technician for a reputable vehicle logistics company based in Southampton, Hampshire. • Competitive salary up to £39,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications

• Conduct detailed pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, focusing on hybrid and electric models
• Use diagnostic software and electronic systems to identify and rectify complex electrical and mechanical faults
• Perform advanced diagnostics, ADAS calibration, EV battery replacements, and wheel alignments
• Record inspection and repair data accurately, either electronically or manually
• Support general workshop activities, including vehicle prep, valeting, and minor body repairs
• Assist with manufacturing and installation of accessories such as ply lining and shelving, with emphasis on electric vehicles
• Enforce health and safety procedures in accordance with company policies
• Collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency

• Full UK driving licence
• Level 3 hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications essential
• Proven experience within an automotive workshop, ideally in a main dealer or logistics setting
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, electrical systems, and vehicle inspections
• Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with enthusiasm for emerging electric and hybrid technologies
• Ability to adhere to strict processes and work effectively as part of a team
• Skilled in using diagnostic software and workshop machinery
• Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering top-quality work on all vehicle types, especially hybrids and EVs
