Main Purpose of RoleResponsible for setting up the provision of Spare parts within the business. This role will work closely with the Customer/ Technical Services, Product Marketing, Purchasing, R&D and Operations teams to identify the relevant spare part requirements to support the product category ranges. This includes managing the full lifecycle of spares (phase in, maintenance and phase out).
Key Accountabilities- Act as first point of escalation for everything internal to manage spares effectively across the GDHV product portfolios.
- At the relevant time during the NPI project process, collate information from the key stakeholders and organise the Spares NPI meeting. Project manage the setup of the agreed supporting spare parts in line with these requests and in line with legislative requirements.
- Collect all available supporting data from in house manufacture and 3 rd party supplier sources to complete parts set up, request and action supporting Spares BOM listings where applicable ensuring correct data is held in SAP at launch.
- Be the key point of contact for ad-hoc Spares creation requests and determine with stakeholders if the additional spare parts should be set up. Monitor factory change requests and ensure impacts on Spares are actioned in a timely manner.
- During the finished product obsolescence process, represent Spares through the End-Of-Life process to ensure Spares are stocked, whenever feasible, and systems material status and listings are updated.
- Action the setting of RRP for all category spare parts and extract the live GDHV Portfolio Spares Price list file for annual price updates.
- Collate additional product collateral such as exploded diagrams, wiring diagrams and service information to populate and update the Parts and Service Manuals for each key range. Create pdf file copies and update, and log, the version control spreadsheet in the ISO central location.
Essential Criteria
- SAP and Master Data processes/ Spares BOM creation and Product Portal input.
- Excellent Excel skills with analytical and numerical process understanding to cope with large data sets.
- Demonstrates initiative, problem solving and decisiveness.
- A degree in Marketing or Business would be desirable.
