Buyer - Construction

We’re partnering with a progressive, design-focused residential developer renowned for delivering high-quality, characterful homes across the South Coast. With a strong pipeline of secured projects and continued expansion, they’re now seeking an experienced Buyer to strengthen their commercial function.

This is a business driven by ambition, energy, and a genuine commitment to building homes properly.

The Role

An excellent opportunity for a commercially astute and proactive Buyer to take ownership of procurement across multiple live and forthcoming developments.

You’ll collaborate closely with Commercial and Site teams to ensure materials, plant, and subcontract packages are procured efficiently, competitively, and in line with programme — maintaining quality at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

* Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontract packages in line with programme and budget

* Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to secure best value

* Develop and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships

* Support accurate forecasting and procurement scheduling

* Contribute to cost control, value engineering initiatives, and supply chain optimisation

About You

* Proven experience in a Buying or Procurement role within house building or residential construction

* Commercially sharp with strong negotiation and analytical skills

* Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

* Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building ability

* Solid understanding of construction materials and residential build processes

* COINS or similar system experience advantageous
