Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client are a SME Main Contractor, managing complex projects from design through to completion.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team for a £10m project and manage all post-contract commercial activities. This is a key role ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

This role can be permanent or freelance (12-18 months +)

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the 12–18 month design and build period, ensuring alignment with the agreed budget.
• Prepare interim valuations, assess subcontractor claims, and certify payments in accordance with contract terms.
• Evaluate and negotiate variations arising from design development (Stage 4 to Stage
  5) and site conditions, ensuring accurate cost adjustments.
• Produce regular cost reports, forecasts, and risk assessments
• Identify financial risks and assist in resolving any contractual or cost-related disputes
• Prepare and agree final accounts
