About The Role

Balfour Beatty Living Places is looking for a Project Manager to join our Southampton team and lead the delivery of a diverse range of highways and civil engineering projects.

Working within our Capital Delivery Team, you'll manage projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget. Project types include surfacing, drainage, structures, public realm improvements, traffic management, street lighting, ITS and general highways infrastructure.

• Managing the successful delivery of highways projects across Southampton.
• Leading project teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Managing programme, cost, quality, risk and change control.
• Ensuring compliance with Balfour Beatty processes, governance and safety standards.
• Driving continuous improvement, sustainability and operational excellence.
• Providing clear project reporting and updates to senior management.

• Experience delivering highways or civil engineering projects.
• Proven project management experience within highways maintenance or infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial and financial awareness.
• Experience working with local authorities or public sector clients.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
  
  CSCS Card and NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• APM PMQ or equivalent project management qualification.
