An experienced Quantity Surveyor
- Fit Out & Refurbishment is required to join an established specialist contractor delivering commercial fit out, refurbishment and passive fire protection projects across the UK.

This is an opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a business with a broad range of in‑house specialist capabilities, working across projects that include commercial fit outs, refurbishment, structural alterations, fire protection, joinery and specialist internal works.

The company provides a turnkey construction solution, operating as a principal contractor and taking responsibility for projects from initial concept and design through construction, fit out and final handover. Its work spans commercial, education, healthcare, leisure, retail and other specialised environments, including both occupied and unoccupied buildings where careful planning and coordination are essential.

Its specialist capabilities extend well beyond traditional fit out. The business delivers carpentry and joinery, drylining, shop fitting, office fit out, kitchen installation, hygiene wall cladding, cubicle and IPS systems, structural alterations, fire door installation and maintenance, as well as certified fire stopping and passive fire protection.

The business has developed significant in‑house expertise, supported by directly employed teams and a close‑knit specialist supply chain. Its wider capabilities include design and build, project management, M&E, compartmentation surveys, rainscreen cladding, diamond core drilling, suspended and feature ceilings, raised access flooring and other specialist installation services.

The company works throughout the UK and has delivered work for established organisations across commercial and specialist environments. Its accreditations include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BM TRADA, CHAS and Safe Contractor, reflecting its focus on quality, environmental management, health and safety and compliance.

The breadth of work means this is not a narrow commercial role focused on one particular trade. The successful Quantity Surveyor will have exposure to varied fit out, refurbishment and specialist construction packages, providing the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the commercial side of complex internal works.

With the business managing projects from early design through to completion, the role also provides genuine involvement across the project lifecycle and close interaction with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

The Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility across a portfolio of fit out, refurbishment and specialist construction projects, ensuring costs are properly controlled from pre‑construction through to final account.

• Managing commercial aspects of projects from tender/pre‑construction through to completion and final account.
• Preparing, reviewing and managing project budgets, valuations, variations and forecasts.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering, accounts and commercial performance.
• Monitoring project costs, identifying commercial risks and maintaining accurate financial reporting.
• Working closely with project management and site teams to ensure commercial and operational objectives are aligned.
• Supporting the delivery of projects while maintaining strong cost control, contractual compliance and commercial performance.
