Nightshift Surfacing Supervisor

Job Overview

A night shift‑only Supervisor role overseeing the delivery of highway surfacing schemes. Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with regulations and quality standards.

• Monitor project schedules and collaborate with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to timelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily site records, including photos, equipment, and labor resources.
• Assist in resolving site and construction‑related issues, communicating changes to Scheme Engineer, Designers, and Quantity Surveyors.
• Conduct daily inspections of Traffic Management layouts, addressing any identified issues promptly.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to join this highways team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple surfacing schemes, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and ensure all aspects of the schemes, from planning to execution, are carried out safely and efficiently.

• Highly organised to effectively coordinate multiple contractors simultaneously.
• Strong and clear communicator to manage report to the Construction Manager and all other stakeholders.
• Able to work night shifts
• UK Drivers Licence
