The RoleThe Content Producer will be responsible for telling the stories that bring Hampshire Cricket and Utilita Bowl to life through video, live production and content that works across every channel. Working closely with the Content & Communications Manager and the wider marketing team, this role plans, produces and directs short and long form content spanning cricket and leisure, from pitch side match coverage to features and campaigns for Hampshire Cricket, Southern Brave, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, BEEFY'S restaurant, Hilton Southampton, Hampshire Wellbeing Centre and eforea spa.
The Content Producer will be present at matches throughout the summer, covering live production, directing, reporting and press and media relations.
- Plan, produce and direct short and long form video content across all brands, from social first clips to documentary style features
- Tell authentic stories that connect fans and guests to Hampshire Cricket and Utilita Bowl's wider portfolio
- Film, shoot and edit content for multiple channels, including social media, website and broadcast partners
- Write scripts and supporting copy for video productions
- Direct camera operators, freelancers and contributors on shoots and match days
- Be present at matches throughout the summer, delivering live production coverage and match day content
- Conduct pre- and post-match interviews and on camera reporting
- Create live content across social channels during play
- Cover matches with narrative, highlights packages and player features
- Plan content calendars that balance short and long form output across cricket and leisure
- Create copy and content for all digital touchpoints, including social media, website and email campaigns
- Coordinate photography and user generated content alongside video output
- Work closely with the design team on brand development and visual consistency
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice across all platforms in line with Hampshire Cricket brand guidelines
- Develop press releases, media statements and PR materials, maintaining professional standards
- Build and manage relationships with media, coordinating press access and interview requests
- Support press box and media operations on match days
- Proven experience producing, filming and editing short and long form video content
- Strong storytelling ability, with experience writing scripts, features and editorial content
- Confident directing shoots, crews or contributors, including on live match days
- Experience with press and media relations, including press releases and media liaison
- Strong understanding of social media and digital platforms, with a track record producing content for multiple channels
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct interviews and build relationships with players, stakeholders and media
- Strong project and content planning skills across multiple content streams
- Flexible mindset with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast paced sports environment
- Willingness and availability to work matches, including evenings and weekends throughout the summer season
- Competent with video editing and content creation tools
- Degree in Media, Broadcasting, Journalism, Communications or related discipline
- Experience in sports broadcast, production or live event coverage
- Photography skills to support content creation
- Experience with in hospitality, leisure or sports industries
- Knowledge of cricket or sports journalism
- Experience working across multiple brands simultaneously
