Parts Advisor Role & PurposeThe Parts Advisor is a member of the Parts Team and will report to the Parts Team Manager Parts Advisor’s role is to help deliver profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities- To satisfy all parts customers’ requirements and increase all aspects of the parts departments business through structured direct selling.
- To be totally conversant with all procedures and routines within the Parts Department.
- Ensure a prompt and courteous manner when dealing with customer enquiries, selling the benefits of our products and services, adhering to all trading terms, discounts, and procedures for handling cash, cheques and accounts.
- Accurately interpret ETKA and parts catalogue systems.
- Ensure accurate ordering, checking and location of all parts, reporting stock discrepancies and damage to the Service Manager.
- Ensure the safe return of old exchange units and warranty items to the Parts Department, clean and drained of fluids. Make ready for credit return including all necessary paperwork.
- Ensure that all chargeable cases are handled correctly to avoid damage and are returned in a timely manner.
- Pack and load parts correctly to avoid damage or loss, for despatch to customers via van delivery or postal/carrier services.
- Maintain display areas with clean up-to-date stock in accordance with corporate standards.
- Assist with stock checking as may be required, ensuring accurate information is maintained on computer systems.
- Assist with delivery of parts as may be necessary.
- Attend correct training commensurate with experience, including Brand courses, on-site and other specialist training as found to be necessary.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on all products and procedures, reading bulletins and technical information supplied by car makers.
- Assist colleagues through the sharing of experience and knowledge in all aspects of the job.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all internal and external customers updating prospect records as necessary.
- Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.
- Able to assimilate information quickly and provide considered responses.
- Strong work ethic and adaptable to change.
- Attention to detail and maintains good, accurate quality of work.
- Able to react positively to organisational and market changes.
- Technical Qualification or proven experience of working with vehicle parts.
- Abe to communicate effectively with team, manage external relationships and customer relationships to deliver required information in a timely way.
Skills & Qualifications Essential:
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- PC, Microsoft, web literate.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Proven track record of individual excellence
