Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and supportive neurology department on a 6 month locum basis. You will be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, but part of the wider neurology team at the Wessex Neurological Centre, University Hospital Southampton. You will work Monday to Friday doing neurology outpatient clinics, with timetabled attendance at the weekly radiology and academic meetings.

We are a busy department serving the population of Portsmouth and the surrounding area.

You will be a dynamic neurologist with a passion for patient care and a desire to work with a team who can support you to develop as a neurologist. Person Specification Qualifications, Training & Experience
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • Appropriate knowledge base, and ability to apply sound clinical judgement to problems
  • Clinical experience of general management principles in adult neurology
  • CCT in Neurology (or expected within 6 months of interview)
