The Fleet operations Doctor will focus on providing day to day high level clinical operational support to the CUK fleet.

They will provide clinical operational and logistical support to the ship's doctors, CUK fleet and wider business, leading on the initial response and recovery operations for medevacs, significant medical events. They will co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day health operations for the CUK fleet including immediate medical and rotational issues, provide immediate SME input for response and recovery operations for clinical incidents and public health events.



Role Overview

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in maritime health, we’re looking for aFleet Medical Operations Doctorto join our dynamic team at Carnival UK. This is a pivotal role supporting the health and wellbeing of our crew and guests across the fleet.

You’ll be part of a small, agile team leading the clinical day-to-day medical operations for the Carnival UK fleet. From managing complex medevacs and coordinating emergency responses to driving quality improvement and supporting global health initiatives, this role offers variety, challenge, and impact, perfect for someone seeking a non-traditional career in medicine.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide clinical and operational support for medical cases, including medevacs and communicable disease management.
  • Oversee the care of crew requiring shoreside medical treatment outside their home country.
  • Manage and develop our telemedicine programme.
  • Coordinate urgent medical staffing and rotation issues.
  • Investigate clinical incidents and ensure lessons are learned and shared.
  • Contribute to and help develop our clinical education initiatives.
  • Participate in the 24/7 clinical on-call rota.
  • Collaborate with global health teams to support international health operations.


Position Requirements

We’re looking for ahighly skilled and motivated doctor with a passion for maritime medicine and operational excellence to join oursmall but high-impact team.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Full GMC registration.
  • Post
    -graduate experience in emergency or acute care, ideally with exposure to remote or maritime medicine.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Able to work in a hybrid capacity from our Southampton office, with a requirement of 3 days per week on-site.
