Now Hiring: SEN Teachers & Support Staff – Southampton

Are you passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel is expanding our dedicated team and we are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and committed staff to work across SEN schools in the Southampton area.

Positions Available

• SEN Teachers

• Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)

• Teaching Assistants (TAs)

We are recruiting a large number of staff for immediate starts to support a range of specialist schools, including those supporting pupils with autism (ASC), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties.

Pay Rates

• Support Staff (LSA/TA): £13.75 per hour

• Qualified SEN Teachers: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (pay to scale)

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with children with SEN

• Patience, empathy, and resilience

• Reliability and strong communication skills

• Experience in SEN settings is desirable, but not essential for support roles

• QTS required for teaching roles

• A driving licence is not essential, but would be beneficial

Compliance Requirements

All applicants must have (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check. If you do not currently have one, Teaching Personnel can support you through the application process.

All roles are based in Southampton and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
