Learning Support Assistant - Full Time - Southampton - Temp to Perm

Are you a supportive and compassionate individual with a passion for working with children?

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work full time at a special needs school based in Southampton
. This is a school that provides education that is catered to the personalised needs of each learner with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). Focusing on a holistic curriculum that is guided by a team of Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists to ensure each learner can unlock their full potential.

• As a Learning Support Assistant you will maintain safeguarding/health and safety policies of the school
• As a Learning Support Assistant you will adapt learning support to meet the personalised needs of each learner
• As a Learning Support Assistant you will understand how ASD can create barriers to learning and how to overcome them
• As a Learning Support Assistant you will use positive behaviour techniques
• As a Learning Support Assistant you will encourage self regulation, social communication and independence
• As a Learning Support Assistant you will support on a 1:1 basis
• As a Learning Support Assistant you will assist with personal care if required
