Behaviour Support Assistant – Complex SEND School (Southampton)

Teaching Personnel are looking for confident, resilient and motivated individuals to join a complex SEND school in Southampton, supporting both primary and secondary-aged pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in education, youth work or sports coaching who has a passion for helping young people develop positive behaviours, confidence and resilience.

The Role:

Supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour and helping them engage positively in learning

Promoting emotional regulation, resilience and social development

Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage positive outcomes

Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and other professionals

Supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom environment

Requirements:

Background in education, youth work or sports coaching

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A patient, calm and proactive approach

A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, or willingness to apply

Availability for full-time work, 8:45am to 3:15pm, term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
