Year 4 Class Teacher

Location: Southampton

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: 5 days per week, 8:30 AM 3:30 PM-

Pay: Paid to scale (£168 £ 233 per day)

An average sized Primary School within Southampton is seeking an experienced Year 4 teacher starting January 2026 (or February). This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially until the end of the academic year but could be extended.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year 4 class, working closely with a year group partner and a full time LSA. The role includes full teaching responsibilities and the opportunity to run an after-school club of your choosing.

Due to retirement, there will be an in-depth class handover where co‑teaching can take place for the first few weeks to ensure a settle and consistent approach for the children.

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
