Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a non-verbal pupil
. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible
, with the potential for long-term placement for the right candidate.

• Supporting a primary-aged child on a 1:1 basis who is non-verbal
• Implementing tailored strategies to encourage engagement and communication
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and outside professionals
• Using communication aids such as PECS, Makaton or AAC devices (training can be provided)
• Encouraging social development and emotional regulation through a patient and nurturing approach

• Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those who are non-verbal
• A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the pupil
• Experience with alternative communication methods is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
