Itchen Sixth Form College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Art and Photography Technician to join our highly successful Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be a committed, inspirational and dynamic individual with a passion for providing technical support to Visual Arts provision. The faculty has well equipped dedicated teaching classrooms and studio space, and the role requires the ability to maintain and support these areas and maintain equipment.

Contract:

Permanent, Part‑time, 20 hours per week, Term Time Only – 39 weeks per year. Salary: SCP 7‑9 – Currently £25,951‑£26,818 p/a, pro‑rated on the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay scale (Actual Salary SCP7 £ 12,031.33 p/a). Closing date: 9am Friday 16th January 2026.

Key Responsibilities

To work mainly in the Visual Arts area and to assist the director of curriculum, curriculum manager and teaching staff in the practical delivery of the curriculum.

Willingness and ability to provide technical support at all levels and across the range of courses offered in the Curriculum Area.

Good organisational, planning and administrative skills.
