Academics is recruiting a Cover Supervisor in Southampton to support a secondary school on a full-time, term-time-only basis. As a Cover Supervisor in Southampton, you will supervise pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring a calm, productive learning environment and maintaining high behaviour standards.

Key Responsibilities - Cover Supervisor (Southampton):

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers

Deliver pre-prepared lesson work and ensure students remain on task

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Take attendance and ensure lessons start and finish on time

Collect completed work and report back to teaching staff

Requirements - Cover Supervisor (Southampton):

GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)

Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable

Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
