English Teacher

Location: Southampton
Start Date: March 2026
Contract: Long-term until end of July 2026 (part‑time options considered)
Pay: £160 – £250 per day (depending on experience)

This is an all‑inclusive 11–16 secondary academy in the east of Southampton, dedicated to providing exceptional education at the heart of the community. The school is known for its strong values of Be Proud, Be Kind, Be Determined, which shape behaviour expectations and the wider culture.

We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students. You will deliver high‑quality lessons in reading, writing, literature, and communication, helping students develop both subject knowledge and confidence.

The role is to start in March 2026 and will run until July 2026
, with part‑time options considered for the right candidate. The school are looking to make the role permanent for the right individual from September 2026.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Recent experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom management and lesson‑planning skills
• Passionate about fostering a love of language and literature
• Able to teach KS3 and KS4 English confidently
• Collaborative, flexible, and committed to securing strong pupil outcomes
