Geography Teacher – Secondary School | Southampton

Start Date:

Long-term (potential for a permanent role)
Pay: £160–£240 per day (depending on experience)

Hours:

8:00am – 4:00pm | Full-Time

The Opportunity:

Supply Desk is proud to be working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Southampton, currently seeking a passionate Geography Teacher for a ASAP start. This full-time role runs through to July 2026, with strong potential to become permanent.

As part of a supportive Humanities department, you'll deliver engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to understand the world around them and their place within it.

We welcome applications from qualified teachers (QTS), ECTs, and unqualified teachers with strong experience in secondary Geography education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons tailored to a range of abilities

Cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness

Monitor and assess student progress, offering clear and constructive feedback

Promote positive behaviour and inclusive classroom values

Candidate Requirements:

Degree in Geography or a related subject (essential)

QTS or relevant teaching qualification (preferred)

Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4

Enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about geographical education

Strong classroom management and organisational skills
