We are looking for compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs across primary schools in Southampton. The role offers flexible working days, allowing you to choose when you work while gaining diverse experience in dynamic school environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their goals.
- Assist in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans for pupils with a range of needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence.
- Adapt to new settings quickly, bringing energy and a proactive approach to each school you work in.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in autism and other complex needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a positive attitude to thrive in a variety of school environments.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in working closely with staff, pupils, and parents.
- Compassion and patience, with a nurturing approach to working with children who may face additional challenges.
