Science Teacher – Southampton

Engage Education is partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton to recruit a Science Teacher for September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to join a supportive science department committed to delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.

The successful candidate will help foster curiosity and a love of science while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes.

About the role:

• Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
• Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
• Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their goals
• Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes learning
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department
• Contributing to enrichment activities and school events where appropriate

About you:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across one or more science disciplines
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Passionate about inspiring young people
  
  Strong communication and organisational abilities
• ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
