Geography Teacher

Location: Southampton
Hours: Full-time (term-time)
Start: ASAP / September
Pay: £168 – £260 per day

We are seeking a dynamic Geography Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in the Southampton area. This long-term role offers an immediate or September start, providing the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and support students in developing a strong understanding of geographical concepts.

You will contribute to a positive learning culture where curiosity is encouraged and students are supported to achieve their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Encouraging students to develop analytical and enquiry-based skills
  • Supporting curriculum delivery and contributing to planning
  • Monitoring student progress and implementing targeted support
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs
  • Creating a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment
  • Supporting departmental initiatives and school-wide priorities
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography
  • Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
  • Ability to engage and challenge learners of all abilities
  • A creative and adaptable teaching approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to high standards and student achievement
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
