Teaching
- To plan andteach well-structured, engaging lessons, following the school’s plans,curriculum and schemes of work
- To assess,monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
- To adapt teaching to strengths and needs of pupils
- To set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- To promotegood progress and outcomes for pupils
- To demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- To developa stimulating learning environment that will encourage and facilitatechildren’s development
- Tosupervise the work of teaching assistants, students and volunteers
- To contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies,practices and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision
- To make apositive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
- To providecover, in the unforeseen circumstance that another teacher is unable to teach
- To contribute to whole school displays of work
- To attendwhole school events as required
- Promote thesafety and wellbeing of pupils
- Maintain goodorder and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure agood and safe learning environment
- Follow theschool’s Behaviour Policy
- Take part inthe school’s performance management procedures
- Attend furthertraining and development in order to improve own teaching
- Support and upholdthe Jewish ethos of the school
- To communicate effectively with pupils, parents and carers
- To liaise with
SENDCo and outside agencies when necessary
- Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond theschool
- Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues
- Uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour,within and outside school
- Have properand professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school,and maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality
- Understand and act within the statutory frameworks setting out their professional duties and responsibilities.
