We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work full time at a special needs school based in Southampton
. The school provides education that is catered to the personalised needs of each learner with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), focusing on a holistic curriculum guided by a team of Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists to ensure each learner can unlock their full potential.

• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety policies of the school.
• Adapt learning support to meet the personalised needs of each learner.
• Understand how ASD can create barriers to learning and how to overcome them.
• Use positive behaviour techniques.
• Encourage self‑regulation, social communication and independence.
• Support learners on a 1:1 basis.
• Assist with personal care if required.
