SEN Teacher – Jubilee School, Waterlooville
Salary: £39,000 per annum (not pro rata).
Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm.
Contract:
Permanent, Term Time Only. Start:
September 2026. UK applicants only – no sponsorship available.
At Jubilee School, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed. We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive team and help pupils with additional needs develop the skills, confidence and resilience they need to thrive.
What You’ll Do- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for individuals and small groups, teaching up to GCSE level in a core subject.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans and personalised learning programmes.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development using nurturing, trauma-informed approaches.
- Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Lead and develop curriculum areas, contributing to whole‑school improvement and the School Development Plan.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil, maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.
- Holds a PGCert Ed (or equivalent teaching qualification).
- Is passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH and complex needs.
- Creates engaging, creative and inclusive learning experiences that inspire every pupil.
- Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Has excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- Is resilient, adaptable and committed to helping every young person overcome barriers to learning.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
