Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: Southampton Hours: Full-time (08:30 - 15:30, term-time)
Start: Immediate start Pay: £85 - £95 per day

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming KS1 setting in the Southampton area. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, supporting pupils in their learning and helping them to grow in confidence, independence and curiosity.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Supporting pupils with English and Maths interventions
  • Working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Supervising pupils in and around the school environment
  • Supporting children with additional needs where required
  • Helping to track and support pupil progress
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable)
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Patient, resilient and caring approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to support pupils of varying abilities
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
