Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,090 students. In March 2025 we were graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.
Our SEND provision and Inclusion department operates as part of a wider curriculum offering support for students who are unable to access the mainstream curriculum across 3 newly designed rooms and interventions.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in our SEND Department to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs at KS3/KS4 in a mainstream school. The post holder will work with students who have learning, social and physical difficulties and support them across the curriculum.
QualificationsApplicants must have proven literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE Grade C and above. Written communication must be a particular strength. Experience of working in a secondary school would be advantageous as would experience of working with students with communication and language issues and disabilities. Applicants must be willing to attend manual handling training and specific training to meet individual student needs.
