- Implementing all college policies relating to the management of learning, teaching and quality.
- To ensure that rigorous tracking and monitoring of learner progression, attendance, retention and destinations is in place and KPI’s are met with a focus of ‘at risk’ students and early intervention.
- Input to product development and ensure provision meets the needs of the sectors, leading on innovation to inspire, guide and achieve successful developments and outcomes.
- Working in conjunction with the Curriculum Director to contribute to development the team’s yearly curriculum plan and each member of staff’s yearly plan of action and providing appropriate records according to college policy.
- Providing all data relating to examinations, statistics, assessments, entry and exit in accordance with College practices to the Curriculum Director
- Working with the Curriculum Director on the evaluation and review of the curriculum and its activities.
- Ensuring that all student progress reviews are of the best possible quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all ages and levels
- Experience of leading teams
- Level 2 qualifications in Literacy & Numeracy
- Level 3 qualification in the relevant area of expertise (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe)
- Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe)
- Relevant degree and/or appropriate level professional qualifications
- Flexibility in approach
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines within a busy environment
- Innovative and creative approach to work
- Ensure that the college develops andmaintainsa constructive relationship with appropriate external stakeholders relevant to the postholder’s areas of responsibility.
- Ensure that the Health and Safety policy and proceduresoperatedby the college are adhered to and that all statutoryrequirementsare metby all staff withpostholder’sareas of responsibility.
- Adoptandpromoteapositiveattitudetowardsequalityofopportunityforallwithinthecollege and ensure that the related policies and procedures are adhered to and that all statutoryrequirementsare metby all staff with postholder’s areas of responsibility.
- Develop,maintainandexhibitthequalitystandardsappropriatetothepostandpromotea culture of integrity and transparency throughout all college activities
- Undertake appropriate staff development activities that support personal development and the changing needs of the college and its environment.
- Be aware of, and responsive to, the changing nature of the college and adopt a flexible and proactive approach to work.
