SEN Teacher - Primary or Secondary | Southampton | £32,916 - £51,048 per annum

Are you a passionate, dedicated educator with a commitment to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teachers to work across specialist SEN schools in Southampton
, with opportunities available in both primary and secondary settings
.

We are recruiting for flexible ad hoc roles
, as well as long-term and permanent positions
, giving you the freedom to choose a working pattern that suits your lifestyle.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs (including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or complex needs)
  • Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and school leadership teams
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual EHCP targets
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils to support their social, emotional, and academic development
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working within an SEN setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
  • A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach
  • A commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
