Instructional Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Instructional Designer to join their team in Randburg. This role is pivotal in creating effective and engaging learning experiences, both online and in traditional settings. You will be responsible for analyzing learning needs, designing curriculum, developing instructional materials, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. This hybrid position allows for a balance of collaborative on-site work and remote flexibility, supporting a wide range of educational initiatives designed to foster skill development and knowledge acquisition.

• Analyze learning requirements and design comprehensive instructional programs using adult learning principles.
• Develop engaging learning content, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and assessments.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives.
• Utilize a variety of multimedia tools and technologies to create interactive and effective learning experiences.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and make recommendations for improvements.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and project scopes.

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio of created learning solutions.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Solid understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and evaluation methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Experience in designing for both online and blended learning environments is essential.
