Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive apecialist school near Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs. The school are eager to welcome either a primary or secondary teacher with a passion for inclusion.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, personalised and differentiated learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their academic progress, personal development and emotional wellbeing. You will play a key role in creating a positive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP targets.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support engagement and achievement.
- Encourage pupils to develop their independence, communication and social skills.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, inclusive education and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Experience or understanding of supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and learning difficulties.
- Committed to supporting pupils both academically, socially and emotionally.
- A confident and adaptable classroom practitioner who can differentiate learning to meet a range of individual needs.
- A strong communicator who works effectively as part of a wider school and support team.
- Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Professional, patient, reliable and resilient in their approach to teaching and supporting pupils.
- Dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where every pupil feels valued and supported.
- Committed to helping pupils achieve their individual potential while developing their confidence, independence and life skills.
