About the Role:
We have partnered with a UK-based solar O&M company, maintaining multi-megawatt solar PV assets and helping drive the UK’s clean energy transition. Due to continued portfolio growth, we are seeking a skilled Solar O&M Technician to support the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar sites.
As a Solar O&M Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of large-scale ground-mounted solar farms. You’ll play a key role in ensuring maximum plant availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar PV systems
* Fault finding and diagnostics on inverters, transformers, LV/HV systems
* Testing and inspection (AC/DC systems)
* Thermographic inspections and string testing
* Monitoring plant performance and responding to alarms
* Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records
* Supporting HV switching operations (where authorised)
* Ensuring full compliance with UK HSE and electrical safety standards
