The company specialises in wind propulsion systems for the marine sector and due to considerable growth plans, they are looking for a senior structural design engineer / mechanical design engineer to join their team and help drive products from concept through to full scale production.

Your Role :
Structural Design Engineer :

• Lead mechanical and structural design of subsystems from concept through manufacturing release
• Produce 3D models, detailed drawings and structural / thermal FEA calculations to ensure robust designs, design for manufacture (DFM) & continuous improvement are achieved
• Manage design validation, documentation and integration with performance, systems and manufacturing teams
• Champion professional standards of engineering integrity, safety and sustainability within the team (DNV, LR etc)
• As the team and business grows, you will be able to mentor and support junior engineers and take responsibility for whole propulsion system projects
