Position: Onshore Senior Surveyor

Rate/Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum

Type: Permanent / Full Time (Rotational 24/7 Shift Pattern)

Typically, this person will lead survey operations from a shore-based Remote Operations Centre, acting as the senior technical authority during shift and ensuring safe, accurate and efficient offshore data acquisition and vessel support.

• Act as Shift Lead and primary escalation point for survey operations
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and coordinate daily operational priorities
• Monitor vessel survey performance and reallocate resources as required
• Oversee calibration, verification and performance of survey sensors and positioning systems (including USBL and geodetic setup)
• Monitor real-time data acquisition and carry out QA/QC checks
• Troubleshoot technical and equipment integration issues
• Review logs, reports and documentation, ensuring client and project compliance
• Liaise with technical teams including data processing and GIS to support integrated project delivery
• Support project documentation and report sign-off

• Minimum 5 years' offshore survey experience
• Degree in Hydrographic Surveying, Geodetic Surveying or similar discipline
• Strong experience in survey sensor calibration and subsea positioning systems
• Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and leadership capability
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) within a 24/7 operation
• Must be based within commutable distance of Southampton
