About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing maritime technology innovator developing cutting-edge wind-assisted propulsion systems. Their mission is to drastically reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions across the global shipping industry.

As they scale, they are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you will manage the entire design lifecycle—from initial concept and detailed design to manufacturing release and operational hardware. In this position, you will take full ownership of key mechanical subsystems, ensuring they are robust, cost‑effective, and production‑ready.

• Design Ownership: Lead the mechanical design of subsystems from concept through to manufacturing release.

• Technical Execution: Produce high‑quality 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and necessary engineering calculations.

• Manufacturing Liaison: Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles to improve standards and reduce costs.

• International Coordination: Act as the engineering interface with international suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

• Problem Solving: Rapidly resolve design issues based on feedback from manufacturing and suppliers.

• Mentorship: Guide and review the work of junior engineers to maintain high standards of integrity and safety.

• Experience: 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical design within a production environment.

• Industry Background: Proven track record in the Marine, Wind, or Offshore sectors.

  , or equivalent 3D CAD tools.

• Fabrication Knowledge: Strong experience with large structural assemblies, welding, and fabrication.

• Standards: Familiarity with class or certification requirements (e.g.,

• Travel: Willingness to travel to manufacturing plants in China (approximately 1 week per quarter) and visit various supplier sites.

• Language (Highly Desirable): Fluency or partial fluency in Mandarin is a significant advantage and may command a higher salary bracket.
