Job DescriptionOur Southampton team continues to grow, with specific growth demand within the Education, Defence, Commercial, Residential, Care and Industrial markets where we have successfully secured positions with many high-profile clients and some key local projects and programs in the industry.
If you are a Senior Project Surveyor looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last, then this role could be for you?
As a Senior Project Surveyor in our Southampton Team, you will be joining like-minded individuals that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
Here’s what you’ll do- Provide a full suite of Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.
- Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Provide effective support and mentoring to Project Surveyors, Graduates and Apprentices.
- Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.
- Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).
- Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
- Delivery of cost management outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating;
Procurement;
Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution. - Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
- Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
- Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors. Residential, Commercial, and Education sector experience would be advantageous.
- Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Senior Cost Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.

QualificationsReady to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
- Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
- CSCS card
