The role
  • Ideal opportunity for a recent graduate
  • Fixed term contract for two years
  • Train to participate in drills and emergencies as a member of the SERS on-call team
  • Prepare and maintain computer models of marine assets
  • Develop and maintain emergency response tools and procedures
  • Develop and deliver training internally and externally
  • Undertake consultancy projects
  • Pursue continual professional development, to keep up to date with current vessel operations and technology trends.
What you bring
  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years program) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer
  • Fresh graduate or Maximum 2 years of experience
  • The ability to pay attention to details
  • The ability to work towards set timelines
  • The ability to work with speed and accuracy even when under time pressure
  • Excellent communication skills appropriate to the audience
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Demonstrated skills in coordinating projects
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution and working towards chartered status.
  • The following would be beneficial:
    Awareness of ship operations, Experience with 2D/3D modelling software, Existing right to work in the UK.
