CAD Draftsman​/Design Engineer

Job Description

Location:

Southampton

• Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings and designs based on project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and company specifications.
• Revise and update drawings as necessary to reflect changes or improvements.
• Support piping design and layout where applicable.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of CAD files.
• Work in partnership with HSEQ on any HSEQ matters and work in accordance with HSEQ Service Level Agreement.
• Be aware of and understand your HSEQ responsibilities relevant to your role; if unsure ask your Line Manager; work in compliance with Safer Together behaviours.

• Proven experience with CAD drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works, Micro Station).
• Experience in piping design and drafting (highly advantageous).
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for liaising with project stakeholders.
