Principal Systems Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

• Experience in RF or wireless system test
• Experience with Python test automation
• Experience with 4G/5G, LTE or digital communications
• Experience with RF measurement equipment
• Experience in system integration and verification
• Experience with embedded systems or wireless communications

• Design and develop automated Python-based test systems
• Develop scalable verification frameworks for advanced wireless communications products
• Integrate and automate RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators and VNAs
• Define test strategies from system requirements and 3
  
  GPP specifications
• Work closely with Software, FPGA, Systems and Algorithm Engineers to solve complex technical challenges
• Support customer demonstrations and occasional international customer engagements

We are Acceler Comm, developing high-performance Physical Layer technology that powers some of the worlds most advanced 5G and satellite communication systems. We are growing and looking for a Principal System Test Engineer to take ownership of how complex wireless products are verified, automated and validated. This is a hands‑on hybrid role based in Southampton, offering a circa £80,000 basic salary plus annual bonus, equity, private medical cover and excellent benefits.

You will work alongside highly experienced Algorithm, Software, FPGA and Systems Engineers and help shape our verification strategy, engineering quality and automation approach.
