We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer across the UK.
Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Based out of the Southampton office, with field-based responsibilities across the UK. (Travel required).
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday Friday (site-based role with flexibility required)
Salary: £48,000 - £55,000 per annum
Role Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the testing and commissioning of electrical systems across power stations, wind farms, and BESS projects.
This is a hands-on role covering installation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring systems are safely energised, tested, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning, testing, and fault finding on LV/MV/HV systems
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Commission control systems, panels, and protection devices
- Support renewable energy projects (wind, BESS)
- Pre-commissioning checks, testing, and verification
- Ensure H&S and regulatory compliance
- Produce test records and handover documentation
- Liaise with customers, project teams, and subcontractors
- Support FAT/SAT activities
- Represent the business on site
