Tax Manager

This firms clients operate in a wide range of sectors and their businesses are at different stages of their life cycle. This results in a varied and interesting client portfolio. In addition to proactively managing and delivering clients' compliance requirements the Manager will have the opportunity to be involved in tax advisory work, both that arising from their portfolio and stand alone ad hoc projects.

Accordingly the Manager must be able to develop and present solutions to complex technical issues and manage a team in demanding assignments on a day to day basis.

• Building a rapport with the individual client and develops a clear and detailed understanding of the business and client expectations.
• Meeting the client’s demands, keeping them up to date with progress and engenders trust and respect.
• Dealing with a wide range of technical issues and client situations.
• Providing intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues both reactively and proactively.
• Writing high quality tax reports, professionally presented documents, requiring minimal input from directors or partners.
• Responsible for planning and performing tax consultancy assignments.
• Acting as a first point of contact on specific projects for any queries from the business.
• Demonstrating the ability to analyse potential solutions and make recommendations accordingly.
• Demonstrating an awareness of technical risk through well supported research.

• CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent
• Post qualification experience
• Managerial experience
• Wider tax knowledge
• Good technical knowledge
• Related tax consultancy experience
