Are you seeking to advance your career in a well‑established accountancy practice? This accountancy practice are renowned for innovative ideas and flexibility. They are a small‑medium firm who have been extremely successful over the past 5 years and who are now looking to expand their team.
This modern, Southampton based accountancy practice are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of SME clients in general practice, taking full responsibility for their requirements. The successful candidate will manage 60‑90 clients, answering queries face to face and virtually, and managing all client on‑boarding. In addition, they will oversee 4 Accounts Senior, managing the teams workflow and ensuring all client needs are met.
Role DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be a positive, detail‑oriented individual with strong organisational skills, effective time management, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in IT skills, to include various accounting software programmes would be highly desirable however training will be given where necessary.
Responsibilities- Efficiently manage the entire portfolio, including staff planning, WIP management, and billing.
- Develop and maintain a healthy relationship with both new and existing clients.
- Exhibit a strong business acumen in fee development.
- Prepare files to the highest standard, subject to partner review.
- Demonstrate a proactive knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards.
- Generate high-quality business correspondence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance issues within the portfolio.
- Provide estimates and quotes within the delegated authority.
- Pitch and tender for new projects by meeting clients and preparing necessary documentation.
- Attend new client meetings and business networking events for business development.
- Possess an excellent understanding of cloud‑based accounting techniques and systems.
- Ideally, fully qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 2 years of post‑qualification experience.
- Nearly qualified will also be considered if the candidate holds the correct experience.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact with clients over the telephone and face to face.
- Experience managing a portfolio of 30+ clients which should include LTD's, sole traders, and partnerships.
